add buses. I realize the focus is trains, but there's only one train line and many busses.
The problem with Minneapolis transit is that buses are the more extensive form of public transit, and train riders need to be encouraged to consider buses useful for the system to be successful (and subsequently, this will improve the environment for more trains).
MetroTransit has a website that is (badly) optimized for mobile browsers that has real-time train and bus schedules, based off of live GPS data when available, and schedules when not available. show if trains are delayed
Trains can be delayed due to sporting events or concerts where ridership is especially high. Indicate trains are delayed.

show Metro Transit alerts
Metro Transit will periodically post alerts on their website about service being affected, e.g. stations closing due to expansion construction. Show these alerts within train brain.

Highlight north or southbound and shorten station names. Use fonts to enhance at-a-glance use.
Just need to optimize fonts sizes and drop useless words like "& Platform." Better to have "Lake St. Stn. Northbound" or "Lake St. Stn. North." right now, north or south is in too fine a font to be easily seen.

Offline sched viewing, ability to view entire sched - not just upcoming few, auto location aware.
